and to those who may subconciously start them even if it's just a thought or an opinion you are expressing...listen up...
So it came to my attention that a tumblr that I have become familiar with has started a Ria Rumor...I'm not here to confirm or deny this, I'm here to talk about why loathe this type of stuff.
If you are going to say something that could potentially either A:) Build up the fandom's false hopes. B:) Send it spiraling further into the deep end. or C:) all the above? I'd show proof instead of popping off at the mouth...or erm keyboard?
Frankly, I can careless if Ria is dating, Tom, a black, beige, orange, green etc...type of guy. And I don't like being flooded with more nonsense about it. This fandom used to be built around how the band's music affected us.
Now it's about, fashion, glitz, glamour, and rumors. Sure it's keeping the fandom from going completely idle as Tokio Hotel is in the midst of their "New Album"...But really? I hate having to pop open my inbox to see "Omg Sallyanne is this true?" or "Sally! I heard so and so say..."
It's getting really, uhm old to me...bloggers curse I guess :/
I'm not going to sit here and bash this tumblr, because who ever runs it is still doing a good job maintaining his or her site. Unfortunately I'm sure other blogs and sites are suffering because we're looked onto for our opinion's on something that in MY opinion is pretty trivial and pointless.
A good friend always tells me to keep going no matter what. But man! this is really starting to get to me...So with that said...
What are your thoughts about how this fandom is doing???

I'm a fairly new fan of TH, a couple of years maybe not more. First thing I learned was not to believe anything without proof because rumors are the most abundant pieces in the TH world. It's annoying to me though because as soon as I read/hear a rumor I can't avoid wanting to know if it's true, I'm curious because I don't know that much about TH as the old veteran fans. xD
ReplyDeleteI've learned time is my best ally on this subject, unfortunately I am impatient by nature. Another thing I see about this fandom is the complete lack of maturity and great naivety some have regarding... not so musical issues(keyword being "some"). What I love? The camarederie we share. TH fans are so funny and united. I never understood why aliens called themselves family until recently, as I sunk deeper and deeper to this TH world I noticed we share some of the same values as a family. We can rip each other's throats but if someone who's not an alien even tries, we're there to stand up for each other and for the band. To me, that's one of the things that make aliens/TH fans so special.
You. Are totally right Lunna we are a family when one of us is being threatened the rest join in we all have so many of the same interest an there are so many different types of aliens you really could look at a TH concert as a family reunion. But If we have rumors and gossip it causes rivalries just like a real family and one day hopefully the truth will be proven and all will come to the light but until then the family gossip and rumors continue and no matter how much we try to avoid or prevent it there will always be rumors and there will always be te fans that are selfish and think about themselves but not the happiness of the band and I know for a fact I will never be one of those fans I hope them the best through all the rumors and gossip there happiness is the number one key to my fandom as long as they are happy I am happy :) this reply probably is all scatter brained and makes no sense sorry If it doesn't :/
